Nanotechnology Crossing Borders 2019
NANOMATERIALS FOR SUSTAINABLE ENERGY / HEALTH
Do you want to boost your knowledge and get updated on the latest developments in nanotechnology? Then join us at Hasselt University for the 3rd edition on Thursday September 26, 2019. This year we focus on both the health and energy domain.
This year’s edition starts with a plenary lecture on the synthesis and application of nanoparticles by dr. Karl Mandel from Fraunhofer ISC/Würzburg University. Followed by two parallel sessions: one on nanomaterials for health focusing on biohybrids, nanomedicine and medical sensors, and one on nanomaterials for sustainable energy focusing on light management in photovoltaics, electrochemical energy storage (batteries) and chemical energy storage (solar fuels). At the end of the symposium, prof. dr. Albert Schenning from Eindhoven University of Technology will provide a plenary lecture on stimuli responsive functional nanomaterials.
Participation is free of charge. Nonetheless, registration is required. Last year, more than 150 students, university researchers and industrial researchers participated in the symposium.
