New products and materials require new joining technologies. Identical but also different materials are to be connected with each other. This offers opportunities to conquer new markets with new products and services.
Experts from the Euregio Meuse-Rhine will inform you about proven processes and current trends and challenges in joining technology.

Several companies will present themselves with short presentations (pitches) in which they will also explain their concrete ideas for a cooperation. You will also get to know each other in one-on-one meetings to discuss questions or approaches to solutions in detail.

PITCH: “Connecting Absolem’s process development expertise to the Hyperegio industrial partners”

‘Unfold your plans’: starting from your technical challenge Absolem supports industrial companies in all sectors in every step between the business case at the start of a project and the start of mass production. The support is either at the client’s site or in our Engineering centre in Turnhout (B). The engineering centre houses design office, workshop and process development laboratory. In the lab new processes are developed after which equipment is designed and realised. In addition Absolem offers a large expertise and lab-equipment for laser technology.

PITCH: “MICRESS -The MICrostructure Evolution Simulation Software”
ACCESS is a private non-profit research association at the RWTH Aachen University with a focus on metallic materials.
Activities comprise the production of metallic products along the value chain e.g. by casting, by additive technologies, by heat treatments, and by joining and welding processes.
Characterization and simulation of materials and their properties along the entire value chain is one of our main areas of expertise.
ACCESS has developed , sells and maintains the MICRostructure Evolution Simulation Software “MICRESS” , which allows concurrent optimisation of materials, their properties and their processing.

-> We offer solutions to optimize and develop processing of metallic materials and components either by use of our software, our experimental facilities up to production scale or in the frame of consultancy projects.

camboo works on the integration of organic materials into an industrialized manufacturing environment. We build lightweight structures based on our patented quality classification for bamboo-poles.

Also we are innovative partner for optimising your material selection of steel and cast iron and steel castings taking account of your manufacturing methods. As experts in damage analysis we investigate the causes of damages and establish concepts and solutions to improve component safety and materials selection. Beside we are working in European Standardization area and support the transfer of new technologies into standards.
