Almost 40 entrepreneurs from the Euregio Meuse-Rhine took part in the B2B matchmaking event on new manufacturing and composite processes in Aachen at the beginning of July in order to get to know potential cross-border cooperation partners.
10 pitchers presented their companies resp. their needs and offers. Afterwards a matchmaking was organised: During the 1-on-1 meetings the participants got to know each other better and discussed first common issues.
Before, presentatives of the Aachen universities (Prof. Dr. Markus Schleser, Education Department of Joining and Separation Technology / Laser Technology of the FH Aachen, and Dr. Simon Olschok, Institute for Welding and Joining Technology (ISF) at the RWTH Aachen University) had given an insight into their offers for SMEs.
Frederik Hendrickx from the Belgian CRM Group, Liège, showed how they support the implementation of FSW on milling machines by use of an empirical approach.
Finally a visit of the research laboratories at the ISF was offered.
Many business cards were exchanged during the day. It will be monitored whether cooperations are actually being established, which may be supported with a 12,000 Euro B2B voucher.
